Vivek is the founder of Brickwork Group and has vast leadership experience in various government departments and in private business enterprises. He was the Information Technology & Biotechnology Secretary, Government of Karnataka. During his tenure, he was instrumental in branding Bangalore as the Silicon City of India, through his aggressive drive towards getting global IT companies to set up offices in Bangalore. He facilitated the creation of world-class IT and Biotechnology institutes and transformed the annual IT exhibition into a mega event in Bangalore. After leaving government service, Vivek turned serial entrepreneur and founded Brickwork India (KPO), Brickwork Ratings (Credit Rating Agency), Brickworks Analytics (boutique advisory firm) and Brickwork Finance Academy. He was an adjunct faculty at Boston University as well as the Indian Institute of Management and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has done his MBA from the Wharton Business School, USA.

Dr. Varadharaju is a seasoned global HR Leader with over 26 years of industry experience. His work in human capital development spans large structured, mature multinational corporations and global start-ups that are solving for scale. He has a triple master’s degree in Chemistry, HR, and Marketing Management. He has recently received the “Global TOP 25 HR Influencers Awards” by RefineEX and multiple awards. His contributions are not just restricted to building organizations for scale, but also contributing back to the larger HCM and student community. He is also a certified executive coach and coaches early-stage tech start-up founders for scale.


Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed

TOPIC - "BUILDING DEEP SCIENCE INNOVATION IN INDIA, FOR INDIA AND BEYOND"

Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed is the CEO and Director of C‐CAMP from 2009 till present. His initial training has been in neurosciences, where he received his PhD from Max‐Planck Institute for Brain Research, Germany from 2002‐2006 and followed it up by postdoctoral training at University of California San Francisco (UCSF) from 2006‐2009. At the same time, he also underwent training in management for Biotech and Innovation from QB3 at UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco from 2007‐2009. He has also completed a biotech management program for biotech executives at Wharton School of Management in the year 2012. In the Bay area, he served as a Management Consultant with QB3 New Biotech Venture Consulting and in an individual capacity, he also consulted for many biotech firms in the US. Dr. Saiyed is an Adjunct Faculty at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and also Amrita Institute ‐ School of Biotechnology since 2015.

Sreevatsa D B, with over 23 years of vast industry experience working as a Senior Director, Samsung R&D Institute India-Bangalore.

He focuses on building strong culture of Innovation, Collaboration and E2E Execution. His contributions in research to commercialization , new features developed are realized in series of Galaxy Mobiles. His recent work involves envisioning & building OnDevice Intelligence platform to empower Innovations & daily life experiences for billions. Dr. Kirankumar Momaya

TOPIC - " Enablers for Bangalore to be a Technologically Advanced and Sustainable City"

Kirankumar S. Momaya received the Ph.D. in competitiveness from the University of Toronto, Canada in 1996. Currently, he is a Chair Professor of Competitiveness with SJM School of Management, IIT Bombay. He serves on the Board of Directors of SINE, the IITB Tech-Biz incubator and IAMOT. He has authored or co-authored 2 books and more than 65 refereed journal papers. He was President of the growing professional society the “Global Institute of Flexible Systems ManagemenT” (GIFT) during 2018-19. Dr. Momaya is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Global Business and Competitiveness (JGBC), co-published by Springer. Prior to that, he was invited in Editorial or Advisory roles for Journals including Advances in Management Research (JAMR), Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management (JFSM). His areas of interest are technological and international competitiveness of firms or start-ups, particularly in knowledge-based emerging industries.

Prof. (Dr) Sujit Bhattacharya

TOPIC - "Learnings from COVID19: Implications for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy"

Prof Sujit Bhattacharya is Chief Scientist at CSIR-NIScPR, Professor in AcSIR, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Scientometric Research (www.jscires.org). He did his PhD from IIT-Delhi and MSc (Physics) from Delhi University. His main area of work is in Science-Technology-Innovation Policy Studies, Scientometrics, and IPR. He has around thirty years of research experience and was Professor in the ‘Centre for Studies in Science Policy’- Jawaharlal Nehru University during 2007-2009 wherein among teaching and guiding students, developed the MPhil/PhD level course in IPR. He has authored over 100 research papers in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings, co-authored/co-edited 8 Books, 20 Book Chapters and presented papers at various National and International conferences. He is Editorial Board of FOUR International Journals and editorial board of the Newsletter of ‘International Society of Scientometrics and Information Management’. He is actively engaged in strengthening the STI ecosystem in the country.
